The Gog Magog Golf Club, established in 1901, has been the favourite Cambridge golf club for top class amateur events, having the special appeal of two top quality Championship golf courses. Set in the rolling East Anglia countryside among the legendary Gog Magog Hills, these Cambridge golf courses afford superb all year round golf facilities, with stunning views over Cambridge and across the fens of East Anglia to the majestic Ely Cathedral.
The Wandlebury course now complements one of the oldest golf courses in East Anglia - the original Old Course dates back to 1901. At over 6,700 yards, the Wandlebury par 73 course offers enjoyable and testing golf at the highest level close to the centre of Cambridge and currently hosts Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship.
On major competition days, refreshments are served in the conveniently situated half-way house.
The Gog Magog Golf Club comprises two 18 hole golf courses which play extremely well in the winter months because their free-draining characteristics. Both are constructed on chalk which ensures a quick-drying turf and enables golf to be played when other courses remain closed.
The Club welcomes parties of 8 or more to take advantage of its Winter Package, comprising:
- 18 holes of golf on one of the courses
- Full English Breakfast from 9 am until 4 pm
