Of the two courses it is probably fair to say that the longer Wandlebury presents fewer unexpected challenges than the Old Course, but the last few holes on both courses can place extra demands on a possibly waning concentration. The site of the Club House from the eighteenth tee can be a relief on a cold winter afternoon with the light waning.

With the addition of the Wandlebury, the Gog Mogog Golf Club provides one of the best golf complexes in East Anglia. The relative altitude of both courses improves both the view and the drainage, the courses being reliably open throughout the year. The additional course means that the Gogs can accommodate members and visiting societies without congestion for most of the week.
