At the Gog Magog Golf Club, members and visitors enjoy two excellent courses situated on the free draining chalk downland of the Gog Magog Hills just south of Cambridge.
The Old Course opened in 1901 and has all the character you would expect from a course with so much history. In contrast, The Wandlebury was built to interest and challenge the modern golfer. Opened in 1999, it is now well established and hosted The Open Regional Qualifying for 5 years. Both courses offer a very enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities, with marvellous views across Cambridgeshire. Directly north, Ely Cathedral rises out of the surrounding Fens.
A club is not just about the golf courses. It is also about people. Gogs members are an enthusiastic and happy group with one common aim: to enjoy good quality social and competitive golf, played in a good spirit and convivial atmosphere.
There are thriving Men’s, Ladies’, Elders’ and Junior sections. The membership is drawn from all walks of life and this diversity adds greatly to the relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere in the clubhouse.
